SCADA & Utility Infrastructure Hardening – Freelance Cybersecurity Needed

📋 Project Overview:

CivicNet Solutions is seeking experienced cybersecurity freelancers to assist with a utility infrastructure hardening initiative for one of our government-sector clients. The project focuses on securing SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems controlling water, energy, and public service facilities.

🔐 Key Responsibilities:

• Perform vulnerability assessments of industrial control systems (ICS)

• Analyze legacy systems for security gaps and exposure risks

• Design and implement firewall segmentation, access control, and patching strategies

• Conduct penetration testing and scenario simulation for failover environments

• Collaborate with CivicNet’s in-house compliance and cloud teams

✅ Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of experience in ICS/SCADA security

• Strong background in NIST SP 800-82, IEC 62443, or equivalent standards

• Familiarity with OT/IT convergence, remote access security, and system hardening

• Certifications preferred: GICSP, GRID, CISSP, CEH, or ISA/IEC 62443

• Able to deliver work in a time-sensitive, regulated environment

⏳ Project Duration:

3 months with possible extension
(Part-time and milestone-based freelancers welcomed)

Remote-first with occasional on-site validation support (if local to UAE)
